Hey everybody! It's been a long time since I last produced a podcast but my return has arrived. I have been planning a return to the Anxiety Guru Show for weeks now but I felt like now more than ever having the show published can provide support for many of you that struggle with anxiety. These are very strange times and my hope is that I can be with you as we navigate the next few weeks and months. I hope you enjoy the show. I will be publishing new shows next week.
Happy Monday!
Hi Friends! A very happy Monday to you. Actually, I think I owe you a Happy Thanksgiving, Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year on top of that. Yeah, it's been awhile. Anyway, I just wanted to check in with you. I know a few folks still listen to the podcast so I wanted to provide a quick update. Let's see, well first things first. I will not be shutting down the site. That's right. I'm going to keep the lights on and see what I can do about making a comeback in the next few weeks. I have a bunch of ideas in my head about what to create, so I'm
Hola
Hello. I just logged into the Anxietyguru.net dashboard for the first time in months. When I logged in there was at least 100 comments that were pending approval. Sounds like people miss me! Well, I miss you too. You know, I'll be honest. I don't know what to do with this site. Worst-case I just leave it be. Ideally I would fire it back up. I guess what I want to know is how many of you would be open to a come back? I have been playing with this idea for months but I don't know if continuing would bring any value to folks. What are your
Hello World
Hi all! I recently received an email from an AG reader and she was like "Hope you're ok." I was like man, better get on here and let folks know that I am, in fact, still breathing haha. I've been busy with work and family so I've stopped working on the AG website altogether. I can't bring myself to retire the site, but for now things are likely to stay this way. I've also been running a private practice that helps anxious people. Kinda sucks that I can only work with people in California, but hopefully the laws that govern my profession will
3 Keys to Getting Unstuck From Chronic Anxiety
Hey guys! I've been away for way too long. I published my last podcast back in November with the intention of putting out new shows periodically, but as you know I wasn't able to pull that off. So in this week's episode of The Anxiety Guru Show I share 3 important ways that you can use to get away from long-term anxiety. So, listen now. In this episode of The Anxiety Guru Show you’ll hear about: How you can increase your tolerance of anxiety
5 Ways to Master Anxiety Fueled Irritability
Hello! It's been a while since I've produced a podcast so today is indeed a good day. Why now? Honestly I'm not sure why I chose today to release a new podcast. All I can say is that it feels good to be back. Especially since I haven't produced a podcast for over 3 freaking months. Speaking of which, I just want to make clear that all is well. Some folks were asking if I was okay over social media and the answer is yes - I'm good. My absence from the podcast was really an unplanned hiatus of sorts, but I think I'm ready to return to business as
The Anxiety Guru Show: Celeste Coffman
On this week's episode of The Anxiety Guru Show I interviewed Licensed Professional Counselor Celeste Coffman. We explored Celeste's personal experience with high anxiety and discussed her professional views on how to manage it. This was a rare but welcome opportunity given Celeste's unique experience. During our talk she shared a balanced understanding of what anxiety actually feels like and what people can do to reduce the impact of anxiety in their own lives. Celeste is the owner of Thoughtful Journey Counseling and Quiet Mind Collective
Here’s How to Increase Self-Knowledge and Lower Anxiety at the Same Time
"Your visions will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes." - C.G. Jung Do you know who you are? I imagine most people would say they do, however, I would argue otherwise. For one, knowing yourself doesn't come naturally. Self-knowledge is attained over time through focused effort which I don't think most people have an interest in, or the time, to do properly. But it's no one's fault. It's more likely that introspection simply goes against human nature. We don't like to
7 Ways to Prevent Anxiety Relapse
Breaking free from high stress and anxiety is no easy task. But once you do manage to break away how do you prevent them from coming back? Well, although you can't ensure permanent remission of high anxiety, you can certainly do a lot to avoid it in the future. You can also do a lot to make sure that a recurrence of symptoms is more manageable than it may have been in the past.
