Not very long ago I added a small chat room to Anxiety Guru and let’s just say that it didn’t work out. My goal has always been to inform and educate people about anxiety disorders but I also aim to create an online community – a support network I guess you could say.
Lofty goals aside, the chat room thing fell through because I think people visited the site at different times and more than likely missed each other or were turned off by the ‘live’ nature of chat.
With the new forum readers will be able to post questions, answer questions, and expand the contribution to Anxiety Guru’s growing body of information. Moreover time won’t be an issue anymore. Readers can post any time and get a response any time. And best of all the forum threads (entries) will remain for others to read over long periods of time.
So let me take a moment to invite you to the new forum. Please feel free to post and post often! One of the things we crave most as anxiety sufferers is information and this forum can only help create more tips, information, advice and commentary on our dreaded enemy.
And if you haven’t already done so don’t forget to subscribe to Anxiety Guru. It’s 100% free and only takes a second to do. You can subscribe using your email address or via rss. You can do either one on the homepage. You’ll get regular updates on new post or links to articles related to anxiety disorders.

How has the new forum been working out? Have the comments been legit or mostly spam?
Paul says
So far no spam but also no new threads.
But truth be told it will be some time before people really take advantage of this tool.
I hope to see the forum take off over the next several months.
