I had a friend ask me if anxiety could kill him. He’s new to abnormal anxiety so he wanted to know what to expect. I thought about giving him some kind of “how to” tip but something told me that a story would be better. After I told him the story he seemed to understand the nature of anxiety and how he could deal with it.
Today I want to share that story with you. I got so excited about telling you this story that I decided to produce a podcast instead of writing about it. I think it explains a pretty powerful idea about anxiety that I hope will help you see things differently. Take 10 minutes to listen to it and tell me what you think in the comments section below.

I could have said this podcast almost word for word. I had nearly the same situation occur that’s kind of where and when my anxiety started.

Lol your story made me laugh because it reminded me of how my first severe panic attack happened although it wasnt funny at the time. I was at a bar with some friends and I could not hide that I was having a panic attack. It was my first one so I could not “play it cool” I turned pale white there was sweat on my face and in front of everyone I stood up from the table almost fainting to go get some fresh air. My sister was terrified and I told her that I was going to faint. I didn’t faint though. I went back in the bar and my panic attack went away. Everyone was worried sick asking me if I was alright. I was ina week of exams at college and I was actually high that night. I did not know panic attacks even existed so I just told everyone I had smoked a little too much and was under some stres from School. Little did I know this was when my nightmare had just begun.

Thanks for sharing Stef. What’s really hard about anxiety is that even after you get familar with it it still feels like it always comes out of the blue.
