Last year I was sitting at home thinking about how I could deliver exclusive content to people who are serious about getting better.
What I came up with was a private website packed with rock solid information.
And finally, after months of work, my members only website is ready to launch.
In the members only area you’ll find new podcasts, videos, articles, and a brand new forum. You can take a tour of the new site here.
Why is the new website private?
Many people with anxiety problems are reluctant to talk about their issues in public. This could be because of work, school, family; the list of reasons for wanting anonymity is long. So a member’s only website is the perfect solution.
Not only will there be privacy, peer support, and new content, but members will also get free access to both of my eBooks, How to Stop Anxious Thinking and The Big Idea. I’m really opening the doors on this one. I’m even starting a brand new personal coaching service that will only be available to members for the time being.

I think the combination of great information, privacy, and peer support is a powerful blend that will help people learn helpful information in a safe environment. It creates a space where you can work on your goals without feeling isolated or misunderstood.
Do you want a FREE membership pass?
If you’re interested in a free membership pass then head to the comments section below and tell me how you would contribute to the new community at AG Members. Would you be an active member willing to reach out to others?
I’ll select 5 winning comments and award those people with a free membership pass. The winners will be announced on February 7, 2013.
I’d like to start off with a group of people willing to do more than just consume information. I’m looking for folks who want to take an active role in their recovery.
But if you don’t get a free pass don’t worry, all members of the Anxietyguru.net newsletter will receive something special in their inbox next week. So if you’re not already signed up, right now would be an excellent time!

What I would do is share my knowledge. And by knowledge I don’t just mean info on symptoms and causes etc. but straight to the point assistance, tips and how to-s. I’ve been visiting AG for a long time now, since its the only site that provides help, information and solutions in bite-sized chunks that are easy to understand and just as easy to apply. And the best thing is, it actually works. I’ve learned a lot about myself and life in general since GAD and this website, and sharing what I’ve picked up until this moment in time would help others make a change and would also give me a little morale boost, since I really like helping and I’m actually pretty good at insight and thought patterns (should’ve studied psychology but missed my change 😛 oh well).
Cheers from Romania, Martin

AnxietyGuru information is by far the best information for anxiety sufferers available today. I was diagnosed with Depression/Anxiety 20 years ago and am going around a merry go round with psychotherapy and meds.
I think it’s a crime that Pdocs don’t send patient to CBT first or teach them how to deal with anxiety first before giving them potent drugs. As a sufferer myself, I found just 8 sessions with CBT, 20 years of garbage therapy and toxic drugs was more helpful.
I bought both ebooks from your site and found your information to be so valuable that I think these books should be given as a first choice of treatment for sufferers. It may save them from going onto toxic drugs and G-d forbid the horrific side effects and withdrawel effects when ready to wean off.
I wish I can impress on people that not everything is a CHEMICAL IMBALANCE. And Paul, I’m sure you can agree with me.

I have had a Panic Disorder for 16 years which isnow over half my life as of this year, I am 31 now. I found anxiety guru by doing a search for Dr. Claire Weekes on the internet since then I visit the site at least once a week. I think I could contribute to the site by providing positive support by not focusing on symptoms and cures but by understanding everyone is on their own journey of healing. Listening to others and providing support not instruction for about the processes we must go through together. I would like to submit articles from time to time about different aspects of my research into my condition. And most of all having a community for support who understand and have goals in mind will help motivate me to stay focused on healing instead of staying focused on suffering.

While not a sufferer myself, my partner has anxiety disorder and, inevitably, I need to spend a lot of time giving him support and listening. I’ve been very impressed with the work you’ve done with Anxiety Guru and found your articles and podcasts really helpful in giving me more understanding of what’s going on. I feel there’s a need, certainly for myself, for a strand specifically aimed at partners, for mutual support and discussion of our situations and what’s actually the most helpful for our partners and ourselves. I would be very willing to be a contributor to such a forum within your site.

As always, I want to say thanks for providing a service which has helped me, as well as many other folks, tremendously these last couple of years. What I hope to do is to encourage others who have lost hope, or simply given up. Been there, done that. When the irrational thoughts kick in, you wonder if you’re normal. I’m still that way at times, but then I gather my thoughts and remind myself that this is part of the “process.” Be as it may, for someone that had lost all hope a few years ago, I’m an example of putting pride aside and seeking help, who can look at life as a “half-glass full” situation, and not give in to a few “bad days.” I’m still working on that, but I do want to help that one person who was in my situation. Either way, thanks Paul for everything you do, and continue to do. As mic says in the above post, you saved my life, and for that, I will always be grateful.

Firstly I would like to say Thank you for the information that you provide! I have been suffering for nearly 3 years and although I have improved over time using Claire Weekes techniques it hasn’t been until I have read “The big idea” that it has really clicked. You are so right – you get told a lot and you end up knowing a lot but what do you do with that information. Love the newsletters too and looking forward to the next!
Anyway what I would bring would be me – that’s all I believe anyone can bring. I will be honest, non judgemental, open, supportive and active in the hope to assist my own recovery and the recovery of others even if that is just to provide a lending ear and reassurance that they are not alone.
Thanks again Paul!
